Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station
Sex and The City Comes to Life
Upon my first meeting with Anna and her mom Karen they couldn’t wait to tell me about their wedding day shoes, both based on Sex and the City!! Anna wore the blue Manolo Blahniks that Carrie wore in the movie and Karen wore the silver Manolo Blahniks. Here at CCP we just love shoes!!!! This first meeting made me even more excited about Anna and Brian’s special day.'
The girls started off with a very relaxing morning at the church getting primped and ready with hair and make-up. Then Anna and Brian took pictures with the groomsmen and the bridesmaids outside in the steamy humidity that Indiana summers bring us. Kevin Swan and Geno captured every beautiful moment. The ceremony was beautiful and intimate as Anna and Brian exchanged vows and exited to a huge cloud of bubbles as their guests cheered them on.

The bridal party headed to the canal downtown to get some more moments together and the guests headed to the Crowne Plaza for cocktail hour. The hummer limo pulled up outside and I just couldn’t wait to show the new Mr. & Mrs. King their glamorous room of blues, whites, and silvers. It was just beautiful and elegant just how Anna wanted it to be! The evening started with excellent food as always at the Crowne and some heartfelt speeches and dances. At the end of the night the entire crowd surrounded Anna & Brian to Billy Joel’s piano man. They lifted the bride and groom up and all sang in a crowded circle in the middle of the dance floor. What a great way to conclude a fabulous day and night!!
Thanks again to the Shumway & King families! You were so great to work with! Have fun in Grand Cayman Anna & Brian!!
