FOUR Beautiful Weddings!!!

Circle City Designers was very busy this past weekend with four WEDDINGS! They all turned out FANTASTIC and looked unbelievably amazing! We started on Friday with Kelly’s wedding where we decorated the Second Presbyterian Church with long strands of chiffon and big pink hydrangeas. The reception took place at the Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station where it was decorated with pink and white!

Saturday, we had three more beautiful weddings! The first wedding was Anna’s wedding at the Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station. It had beautiful all white flowers with accents of silver and navy! I will have to say after everything was put together it really took my breath away!

Next, we went to Laurel Hall for Brookley's wedding which as Darcie said, and showed you, was AWESOME! There were accents of purple phalaenopsis orchids along with feathers everywhere!

Lastly, we headed to the Scottish Rite Cathedral for Brittany's wedding which was full of vintage touches everywhere! The centerpieces were covered with pearls, candles, and light pink and white flowers. The gold chairs and drapes really accented the soft colors well and overall the room looked magical.

Congratulations to all my beautiful brides from this past weekend!!

B & B say " I Do"

Laurel Hall

June 26,2010

AHHHHH!!!!! Well as some of you may know Circle City Planners had SIX weddings over the past weekend. We had one on Friday and FIVE on Saturday!!! All the weddings went off without a hitch!!!!! WTG team CCP!

Brookley and Bart were our first June 26th couple and we worked together on all the aspects of their wedding! They both live in Chicago so much of the planning was done over email and on the phone. The couple came down to Indy a few times during their engagement for all day planning sessions!!! We had so much fun!

When I first met Brookley, she told me she loved the color purple. We accented the wedding with platinum and vanilla. Brookley also told me she wanted a vintage wedding. So we used feathers and crystals in the floral decor. Laurel Hall was the perfect spot to pull together this plum, vintage wedding.

The day of wedding everyone was so relaxed. Spring (Brookley's mom) was a little nervous but I reassured her that all was well and she had nothing to worry about. The ceremony was set to be outside, there was a small chance of rain but Laurel Hall has a beautiful chapel upstairs so I knew everything would be okay even if it rained. BUT it didn't. After I left Spring's house, I went to check on my team. Carrie, Ashley, Stacy and Megan were on top of everything. They all worked together to setup everything and the flowers and decor looked AMAZING. Way to go Circle City Designers. Brookley and Bart decided to see each other before the ceremony so Andrew Scallini was able to take some FANTASIC shots. He even worked late into the night and sent me over these pictures.

The ceremony was simple but looked beautiful. We used a custom white branch arch from Tom's custom trees. This time it didn’t tip over!! The air was filled with sounds from Jan Alridge and her wonderful harp. Everyone was able to hear Brookley and Bart's vows with the help of Evans Audio Visual. There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd.

After the ceremony guests mingled on the terrace and sipped on fruit infused champagne and munched on hors d'oevres. Hoaglin Fine Caterers catered the event and the lobster nachos were a hit! They also had fun playing Brookley and Bart trivia on the personalized cocktail napkins. Afterwards, guests then gathered in the foyer for the grand entrance. Brookely's dad, Tyler gave a heartfelt speech. For dinner, Brookley wanted to do food stations instead of a formal sit down dinner. Again, Hoaglin did a GREAT job! We had a mashed potato bar, a craving station and salad station. Hoaglin even baked the 3-tiered cheesecake. We dressed it up with ribbon, flowers and we added bride and groom penguins to the top!! They are Brookley's favorite animals. After that Chris Burger from Copper moon Entertainment took over and the dance floor was rockin all night long! Later in the evening, we served bar food! Jalapeno poppers, quesadillas and french fries! They were quite the hit with all the guests.

This wedding and reception ROCKED. Everyone involved did an AMAZING job!!! Brookley and Bart could not of been happier. The couple is now off to St. Lucia for their honeymoon!

June 19th, 2010!

This past weekend, Circle City Designers had two beautiful weddings that were unique and beautiful!!! First, we went to Carmel Lutheran Church followed by the reception at the Ritz Charles. The flowers were filled with pinks, greens, and purple!!! They also had a delicious all pink candy bar!! So cute!!

The second wedding was at the Scottish Rite Cathedral followed by the reception at The Crowne Plaza. The bride loved the idea of pomander balls and we made HUGE pink pomander balls that set on top of cylinder vases with turquoise water. We also decorated the place card table with a curly willow arrangement tied with pomander balls with feathers and jewels everywhere! It was such a bright and fun wedding that was so fun to put together!

Tiff and Ed: June 19th, 2010

Scottish Rite Cathedral
Historic Union Station & Crowne Plaza Hotel

What a fantastic wedding!!! Tiffany and Ed were so easy to work with. From their engagement in front of the castle in Disney World to their beautiful pink and turquoise ceremony and reception everything was just magical. The girls started getting ready at the Crowne with the help of Robin Pritchett and Kathy Moberly while the boys spent the morning at Red’s downtown. Dawn Fisher of Galleria Studios, and Bob Ridge of Indy Visual, captured each detail as it happened. This couple was fun, playful, and full of surprises. Tiffany had the hottest bright pink shoes and the most gorgeous flowing dress! Ed looked dapper in his pin striped tux and wing tipped shoes.

The ceremony was held at the Scottish Rite Cathedral where the bride and groom exchanged vows and rings and danced down the aisle to Signed, Sealed Delivered, I’m Yours….WHAT FUN! They followed with a grand exit outside the Scottish Rite to family and friends popping party poppers. Thanks again to Ashley at the Scottish Rite for all of her help!

Circle City Designers, Evans Audio Visual, my assistant Kelly, and the staff at the Crowne Plaza had the Grand Hall looking amazing with hot pink floral, touches of turquoise, and the amazing pink and turquoise up lighting and candy bar. Since Tiffany and Ed are a flight attendant and pilot, the reception was filled with details of airplanes. The scene was set for Tiffany and Ed! After some fun pictures downtown the couple was ready to see the Grand Hall. When Tiff and Ed walked in they were both thrilled with everything! Memorable moments for me where the couples entrance to Top Gun, the entertaining dance at the beginning to MC Hammer’s, Can’t Touch This, and all of the heartfelt words about the couple from family and friends! The cake was delicious as always from Heavenly Sweets and DJ Tony Marcum rocked it out all night long!

Tiff & Ed, have a great time in Saint Lucia!

Randi :)

Meet Stacy, CCD Intern

It has been a while since I wrote to you guys! We have had a break from weddings so I have been learning the details to what makes these weddings so amazing! As Ashlee said in her blog, some of these details include making design boards for each of our clients. After the first design session, one of our CCD consultants, puts together a design board that reflects the ideas discussed in the meeting.

Here is an example of an inspiration board from Style Me Pretty. This is what we give to our clients after their first initial meeting with Circle City Designers.

Something else I learned how to do this week was how to put together a timeline of what people are going to be doing for the days prior to the wedding. This was a very tedious project but Ashlee and I were able to figure it out together. The schedule is very important to know where everyone is and what they are working on to get ready for the wedding!

I am looking forward to working on the weddings this weekend with knowing more aspects and details of them! I will have lots of pictures and more stories to share with you next time!

Eco-chic tips!

Our intern, Megan, came up with these GREAT Eco-Chic Tips! I just had to share them since we have been talking so much lately about being "Green." Way to go, Megan!!!

1. Invitations- When choosing invitations, ask for options in recycled paper.

2. Candles- Add eco-chic lighting by using soy candles with cotton wicks! Check out "Aglow Soy Candle Company for additional product information!"

3. The Dress- Many designers are introducing eco-tech fabrics, like Annatarian, who uses bamboo, organic cotton, and peace silk in their "eco-couture"-gowns.

4. Decor- Find companies who specialize in decor made from eco-friendly materials, like Customized Wedding Creations.

5. Registry- With organizations like the I Do Foundation, you can create a charity registry. Your guests can log on and donate or the stores you register at can contribute.

6. Flowers- Just because flowers are plants doesn't mean all of them are eco-friendly. Talk to a florist, like our own Tiffany Mullen, for help finding some that are in season and use minimal pesticides.

7. Favors- Give your guests something to plant in your name such as flower seeds that coordinate your wedding flowers or a baby tree to plant. Check out "greenworldproject.net for more information."

8. Photo Album- This photo album is made of 100% recycled and acid-free paper. They are also produced using only wind power and proceeds from each book go to planting trees!

9. Trash the Dress- Instead of trashing your dress, donate it to an organization like Brides Against Breast Cancer.

Wedding Love and Hugs,
Tonya
