Modern and Sleek and the Museum of Art

Renea and Tyler
August 25, 2012
Indianapolis Museum of Art

Renea and Tyler are so cute and in love!!! And their wedding day was AMAZING.  This was the first outdoor wedding ceremony that I didn't stress about the weather.  The day was just GORGEOUS.  The formal gardens at the IMA and stunning on their own but with the help of Tiffany and the Circle City Designers team the gardens were spectacular.

After the ceremony, while the bridal party taking pictures guests walked to the Deer Zinc building for cocktail hour.
The ballroom was transformed with the help of Evans Audio Visual.  The linens, the flowers and color all made an impact but was most impactful was the dance floor and the lighting.

Thanks to everyone that helped make this wedding come together especially Freddie at Kahn's Catering, Nicole at the IMA, Jack at Antique Limo, Kirsten Wray the photographer and Mark from Platinum DJ Productions.

6 Events in One BIG Weekend

Luisa and Chris
August 4, 2012
Scottish Rite Cathedral & Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station

Now that my wedding season has slowed down a bit I finally have to blog weddings.
Luisa, Chris and their families are very special to me.  We started working together way, way, way back in January 2011 for the August 2012 wedding.  There were countless emails, hours of phone conversations and numerous meetings all leading up the weekend of August 4th.  There were a few bumps along the way but everything worked out perfectly!!!!  The weekend was jammed packed full of celebrations.  It all started on Friday with the Spa Party for Luisa, her bridesmaids, the moms and couple close friends at the Evan Todd Spa.  Then the Wedding Rehearsal in the Scottish Rite Theater followed by the Rehearsal Dinner in the Tyler's Room at the Scottish Rite and finally the night ended with a Welcome Reception at the Pullman Bar at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Saturday was of course the main event- the wedding ceremony and reception.  Like I said, months of planning went into every single detail and it paid off because everything came together and the day ran extremely smooth.  The setting in the theater for the ceremony was amazing and the words that spoken between the couple was genuine and loving.  At the reception, I took Luisa's parents into the ballroom to show them space before anyone else.  The were thrilled and thanked me for all that I had done.  Once Luisa and Chris were finished with pictures they came in ballroom and were overjoyed with how it turned out.  The couple and their parents had a special surprise for everyone after dinner- they learned a special choreographic dance.  It started out slow, then got funny and ended slow.  Everyone laughed and applauded!!!  However, that wasn't the only surprise, guests enjoyed a chef attended bananas foster and cherry jubilee station, a candy bar, we surprised Chris with a Purdue train shaped groom's cake, signature drinks (blue LuLu & orange Chris Chris) and finally late nights snacks at the end of the evening.  The party rocked!!!!  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  BUT the celebration continue Sunday morning for an "After I Do" wedding brunch at Rock Bottom Brewery.  Of course this was a much more casual affair from the night before.  It gave Chris and Luisa a chance to sit down and really enjoy their guests that traveled so far to be with them.
The weekend was a BIG success however I didn't do it alone.  A huge thank you to all the wedding professionals that helped me pull this one off.  Tiffany of Circle City Designers, Nate and the NEP photography team, Katie and the Crowne Plaza staff, Ashley and the Scottish Rite staff, Thomas Caterers, Scott and the team at Evan's Audio Visual, Jessie of Copy & Paste video, Jack and the transportation team at Antique Limo, Evan Todd Salon and Spa, Amanda and the staff at Rock Bottom Brewery, Jill at Westwood Paper for all the beautiful wedding stationary, Classic Cakes of Carmel,. Jim Cerone our wedding entertainer, Happy Snaps photo booth, Encore Entertainment and the Cocktail Sax band, Dianne Frewer the wedding dresser, Mona Breland the organist and of course my team who helped me out tremendously.
Back in September Josefina (Luisa's mom) sent me a little note that I had to share~ In watching the video, I felt I need to express again what a wonderful job you did.  You  were awesome!  I am very grateful for your kindness, patience, professionalism, extreme work time and expertise.  If I had to do it all over again I will not change any thing.  You helped so much to make an important and special event absolutely wonderful and gorgeous.
Thank you very much!
Love,
Josefina Oviedo

Super Hot Wedding Day

Lindsey and Joe
June 30,2012
Indianapolis Arts Center

Lindsey and Joe's wedding was one of more stressful weddings this summer just because it was an outdoor ceremony AND outdoor reception but it didn't matter because this was the 1st wedding that included more than one Kornmeyer!!! I would be working with my hubby!!!Lindsey and Joe LOVED my Matt's food truck and knew that they wanted him to caterer their wedding.
I knew that Matt couldn't handle this wedding alone so we brought in Laurel and her team at Hoaglin Fine Catering to do the bar and hors doeuvres.
Lindsey and Joe had a very unique and distinct vision for their wedding.  Simple, tasteful and FUN!!!  So there wasn't dancing but instead guests were entertained by lawn games.  There wasn't wedding guest book but instead guests signed and wrote well wishes on Lindsey and Joe's favorite record albums.  There wasn't a formal sit down meal but instead like I said before a Food Truck.  Just about everything was personalized.  From the menu a HIS burger or HERS burger, to their favorite flavors of pies, and even personalized plastic cups for couple's favorite craft beer.
I always had in the back of my mind the threat of rain even though we were going through a drought.  It did rain bit that day, as we were setting up for the ceremony and reception but the rain held off and Lindsey and Joe did get their wedding they always imagined.

Thanks to everyone to helped make this wedding a success- Matt Kornmeyer of Scratch Truck, Laurel at Hoaglin Fine Catereing, Tiffany from Circle City Designers, Kelly from My Sugar Pies, A Classic Party RentalAmanda Cravens Photography and my two wonderful assistants Cara and Sarah!!!!

Angie and Chad
June 22,2012
St. Mary's Catholic Church and Scottish Rite Cathedral

I'm a little behind in blogging, as we all know writing isn't my forte.  Angie and Chad's wedding was AMAZING!!!!  When Tiffany and I first met Angie- the minute she walked in the office we knew she was a CCP girl!!!  She loved pink, bling and glam.  And of course, her wedding reflected it.  The ceremony was beautiful and although they elected not to each other before the ceremony they did hold hands.  Check out this awesome picture below from Crowe's Eye!  The ballroom at the Scottish Rite looked fantastic as well!!!  Dinner was delicous and the dance floor was packed all night.  There were even a few surprises throughout the night.  The groom's cake and the late night snacks were a huge hit.  At the end of the evening Angie and Chad made their grand sparkler exit.  They got in a horse and carriage and were off.  It was magical ending to an absolutely perfect day!!!
We had a stellar team of vendors- Ashley from Faces by KLM, Tiffany of Circle City Designers, Crowe's Eye Photography, Indy Visual, Grapevine Productions, Dee from Thomas Caterers, Classic Cakes of Carmel, Brian Whitis, Circle City Photo Booth, trolley from Star of America, and Yellow Rose Carriage

After a year of planning Brenna and Craig tied the knot on July 14, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Union Station Grand Hall. With over 400 guests attending the event I knew it was a must to be ready for anything! I have developed a relationship with Brenna and her family over the last year planning for multiple surprises for this wonderful day! It all began with coordinating 9 different musical selections and musicians with her grand entrance of 3 trumpeters announcing the bride’s entrance to the ceremony! The guests were awed by Brenna’s unique and sassy dress and bling that completed her look. After they tied the knot, guest were greeted by 3 magicians, an open bar, and food galore! The nanny room gobbled up the children to entertain them so the parents could enjoy themselves throughout the evening. Melody from Carpenter Photography and Troy from MovieTyme Productions captured all of the great moments, emotion and laughter. Katie from the Crowne Plaza and her wonderful staff transformed the ceremony into a glitz and glam magical fairy tale reception. The bride cried when she saw her room and gasped at the wonderful creations Tiffany, from Circle City Designers, created. The many surprises every half hour; like the photobooth, the candy bar, the lottery tickets, the magicians, interactive dessert station, YMCA debut by the groomsmen, and many more kept my assistant and I on our toes every waking moment. Finally, as the clock struck midnight, the horse and carriage swept away the newlyweds as they began their new life together. A night to remember!

XOXO Tonya

Jackie & Gareth
June 3,2012
Omni Hotel

Jackie and Gareth's wedding was AMAZING!!!!  It was filled with many surprises and details that made it all their own.  The ceremony setting was quite unique all its own.  But when Jackie surprised Gareth as she walked down the aisle to live music the look on his face was priceless.  The actual wedding ceremony was filled with laughter, tears and joy.  Their wedding officiate was amazing.  The surprises didn't stop at the ceremony.  During the reception, Gareth's dad sabored a bottle of champagne for the toasts.  It was a FABULOUS evening.  For the decor, we included Jackie's favorite- zebra print.  Along with a beautiful teal blue and pink.  The linens were the perfect combination of fun and elegant.  We also included some of Gareth's favorite things too like cherry blossoms.  I loved working with both them as well as Jackie's mom!!!
A big thanks to all involved that made Jackie and Gareth's day a huge success.  Maxi from Omni, Erin Hession Photography, Mike Campbell of Sound Advice, Tiffany of Circle City Designers, Classic Cakes of Carmel, Jill from West Wood Paper, Karen Hall and Co. and Marta from Waiting to be Told

Just wanted to share a beautiful table-scape, an idea that we created at the Mill Top Banquet Center in Noblesville last month at their open house. By creating a long table with chargers and lots of votives you can fill up a space for a grand effect. Thank you to all of my sponsors; Tanya from Heavenly Sweets, Marty from Bello Romance Photography, and MBP Distinctive Caterers for their fine food. What a night to remember!!
