It started out to be a rainy morning, I thought I was going to have to face the fact that we would be rained out for the first time in CCP history, but sure enough my prayers worked and they got married at the USS Indianapolis Canal area right on time. It was a perfect afternoon with a slight breeze. Just enough air to cool your brow and enjoy one of the last days of summer. Dawn and Brandon started off at the Indiana State Museum, Eiteljorg, and then came back to Canal area for pictures. As the people entered the ceremony site, they were greeted with a bottle of refreshing water. After the ceremony, they took a little walk down the canal to the cocktail reception on the East side of Vermont street. CCP Staff worked hard to complete the last minute details under the tent on the other side of the canal as the guests enjoyed their Sunset Cherry Brocktails (our cute name for the signature drink). When the bride and groom entered the tent for the first time, she just screeched with excitement. That’s when you know, you did a perfect job when they just can’t thank you enough. After the meet and greet over the bridge, the guests entered the Westside tent surrounded with luscious citron and brownie lamour linens. It was perfect. Boy, did they dance the night away! It was an enjoyable evening on the canal with a perfect sunset.
