Amanda and Doug’s fiesta went off with a bang! The event décor came to life with the lush linens and fun cuisine. The reception was held at the Mavris Arts and Events Center; we just love being there with Amanda and John. Everyone just raves about his place. When we designed the reception, I decided it would be cool to create a more casual atmosphere. We used different size tables for a variety and different colors for different tables for visual appeal. Downstairs during the cocktail hour, we only used the turquoise lamour and hot cerise and left the bold colors for a surprise upstairs. As the guests walked up the stairs after their mango margaritas, they found our most creative cupcake display. Boy, did those Gerber cupcakes turn out so cute (see picture). A bar was created in the middle of the room with 10 black barstools to encourage guests to grab a drink and watch the live band, etc. John added another dimension to my creation, by adding a light and height to the center bar area for glasses and liquor. It truly created the focal point in the room. Later, the groom’s triplets made their way upstairs to enjoy the 3rd floor pool table and play station. You must always keep the kids entertained, so the adult guests can dance the night away. The couple is off to Antigua for a romantic get away.
