The Pearl Collection UNVEILED!

We CCPINK gals had a GREAT time at our Mother-Daughter Tea at the Columbia Club this weekend. Thank you AJ for hosting such a great event!

To start off the day, we had a great chat from the owner, Tonya Shadoan, who instructed us on the roles of the wedding party. I was amazed at all the things I DIDN'T know!!! For instance, did you know that the groom's parents are responsible for paying for and arranging all transportation, out of town guest lodging, the rehearsal dinner, and even certain portions of the florist's bill?

Then we had a great chat given by Jill Sowder from Westwood Paper Company. She enlightened us with her expertise on invitation etiquette. So many little details to think about, she instructed us on how to address invites to people who are unmarried, "plus 1's", and those guests out of the country. For brides and grooms whose family may be from another country, it is super important to purchase that country's postage for the return cards.

Finally, (my favorite part :) ) we unveiled the Pearl Collection for The Columbia Club. Circle City Designers teamed up with the club to create a trio of centerpieces available exclusively at this venue. They were designed to meet any bride's budget or color scheme while being the perfect fit for the club's timeless elegance.

This time of year is all about big award shows, but what IS the big deal? Well for us, it is really ALL ABOUT THE GIRL and the fashion scene. The gown, the jewels, and of course, the SHOES! Stars dazzled the red carpet in pinks, reds, emerald green, and as always, black. Glitz and glam was definitely upheld with statement shoes and shimmering ensembles.

Pretty in Pink

Pink hit the carpet in large numbers! Natalie Portman in Viktor & Rolf, Scarlett Johanson , & Lea Michelle in Oscar de la Renta of GLEE looked fantastic! The softness of the pale blushes just POPPED against that red carpet!

Glamourous in Green

Emerald was the stand out color of the Globes! Mila stepped out in a one-shoulder Vera Wang dress, Catherine Zeta- Jones dawned a strapless green Monique Lhuillier dress with a full bottom, and Angie was extremely bold in staying away from her staple black dress. She was combining all of the trends in a deep green with sparkle and a plunging scoop back. It was bold and beautiful!!

Bring on the Sequins

Sparkle and glitz was it! Amber Riley of GLEE choose silver as her stand out color, Olivia Wilde was daring in a Marchesa two tone dazzler, and Anne Hathway took it one step further with an Armani long sleeve dress.

But we cannot forget about the shoes!!! Take a look at Olivia Wilde and her hot Christian Laboutins!! Even though most ladies wore full length gowns stars had to think about their looks from head to toe. Statement shoes were a hit! Lea Michelle even paired her salmon colored gown with silver PIGALILI pump sparklers. Megan Fox wore Brian Atwood stilettos as part of her fashion ensemble.

Hi Friends…

Tali my future daughter -in-law came to me and said she wants her colors for the wedding to be Blue and Green she must of had some foresight into the fall colors for 2011…love these different blue shades! It is going to be easy for her mom and I to find a dress for sure!

New Fashion for Fall 2011 is already being debuted.
These collections will be arriving in stores early this summer.

I selected dresses from some of my favorite designers from classics like Chanel, Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta to new designers such as Erdem and Jason Wu.

The short dresses will give great inspiration for Bridesmaids and bridal Party members…and the long gowns could offer ideas for the nontraditional Bride….
